Outside In East Lansing - Dragonflies and Carbonated Water

Michigan State University's 2009 football season kicked off last weekend with a game against noted Division II powerhouse Montana State. (at least I think they are D2). This weekend the Spartans play Central Michigan University for the first time since the 90s, at a point in the school's history where CMU beat MSU two years in a row (or something like that). Now when Mark D'Antonio was hired away from Cincinnati there was a bit of an issue as the then coach of CMU was on the shortlist for the MSU job, talked about it and found his offer recinded. Once D'Antonio took the State job the CMU coach went to Cincinnati. Why am I talking about this on this blog? Because I am going to the game and thanks to an early flight by Aunt Beth we left Traverse City Thursday afternoon.
When we got here Jack immediately rushed outside to play with Grandma Tish on the front yard.
Drinking a bit of lovely carbonated water obtained from the local Meijer Thrifty Acres.

My boy has the beginnings of a mullet it would appear. Gotta trim that bit of shag from the back side of his noggin. Just have to.

Hmm....I wonder if she'll notice....

When I lick her hair!

Reunited with Diplodocus, who had been left at the East Lansing water park last month and thankfully turned in by some random good Samaritan.

This woman has been through quite a bit.
Moms pointed out to the two of us that there was a dragonfly on one of her flowers. I got a few pics before Jack came to take a look.

Posing with a Dragonfly. Who would have thought it possible?

I will do my best to keep posting while we are down here for the weekend. I hope to have a lot of fun stuff done with Jack before we head home on Sunday.

  2. At the age of two, licking someone's hair is the highest form of affection! Touching photos of Jack and his Grandma Tish. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Sophia was busy learning about the Economic Stimulus Package.
